Wow! Our first big community service project (the clean-up of Legion Field following the 4th of July festivities) was picked up by the Brockton Enterprise! Theresa Knapp Enos wrote a very nice article about our project and about the club. You can all be very proud of the great work done! You can read the article here.

It’s officially the first day of the 2008 - 2009 Lions year and Bridgewater has 3 Lions clubs with new officers ready to charge into another year of making the world a better place. Good Luck to all the Lions of Bridgewater!

Well, it’s turning into quite a banner month for the Bridgewater Academy Lions. Another member is in the press, and this time it’s our very own Vale Sime. It seems Vale will be one of 287 women honored as “Unsung Heroines”.

If you haven’t seen the May edition of The Lion magazine, check it out. There’s an extensive interview with Bridgewater Academy Lion Peter Bertelli featured on page 52. Well done, Peter! Lions all over the world are reading about a Bridgewater Lion!

Next weekend (December 14, 15, 16) the Bridgewater Lions Club is hosting the Bridgewater Festival of Lights at 55 Alexander Drive. If you haven’t seen it before, it is a truly spectacular display of Christmas lights with an animated walk through village. It’s a chance to see Santa, the Lion, and enjoy free coffee, hot chocolate & popcorn. They will be having pictures with Santa and a raffle.
