The Greater Bridgewater LEO Club is holding their October meeting on Sunday, October 4th at 3PM at the BTV9 studio. Anyone between the ages of 12 and 18 is eligible to become a LEO. The club meets once a month to plan and organize community service projects and fund-raisers for those in need.

The objective of the LEO program is: “To provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national and international community.”

A LEO club is a place to make a difference in the world while having fun, making new friends, and developing leadership skills.
Trustworthiness, fairness, and the ability to accept responsibility are just a few leadership qualities. LEOs can continue to develop their leadership qualities and skills by accepting a Leo Officer position.

The term LEO actually stands for Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.

LEOs learn “Leadership” by developing skills as a project organizer, time manager, and team leader.
LEOs gain “Experience” by learning how teamwork, cooperation and collaboration can bring exciting changes to their community and the world.
LEOs have the “Opportunity” to make friends and feel the rewards of community service.

If you (or someone you know) might be interested in becoming a LEO, and you/they are between the ages of 12 and 18, please join us at the studio on Sunday, Oct 4th at 3:00 PM.

If you’re interested, but unable to attend on Sunday, please have them contact me via (martin.middleton@verizon.net) so that you can be kept up-to-date on upcoming events.
